Cleaning=A stroll down memory lane

I hate cleaning. I hate mopping. I hate dusting. I hate cleaning toilets.

What I do love is a clean house. So, I guess you have to take the bad with the good.

You want to know what I did this weekend? You guessed it. I cleaned. And I cleaned. And I cleaned.

My house now smells so nice and looks beautiful. I should probably do it more often.

Look at those beautiful, clean floors : )

I cleaned out my closet for the first time since we moved last August.

That right there is heaven to my eyes.

I decided to get rid of some old purses that I never use. While cleaning them out, I found the glasses in the picture below. So, these glasses made their debut at my 21st birthday in college. I guess I should clean out my purses more since that was in 2007. What?!? But, they had me reminiscing so I had to look back at my 21st birthday pictures. You are welcome.

My first drink. in my dorm room. I was scared too death that we were going to get written up by our R.A. I may or may not still have that dress. I may or may not always keep it just for the memories.
My best friends, minus Anna. I am pretty sure that everyone wore those glasses throughout the night.
Did we really drink wine in Massey? Why did we not go to the bar?
Oh, that's right. We were b.r.o.k.e.

And, this sums up the end of the night.

Peace Out my sweet friends : )

When Halloween is a little boring...

So, I have come to the conclusion that being an adult is a little boring. When I was a kid, all holidays were exciting and full of magic. Or so I thought. Now, holidays are still super fun, just a lot toned down from when I was 7.

Tonight, we had my perfect, boring Halloween night. We made a pizza, some yummy chocolate chip cookies, and watched Hocus Pocus. That my friends is a recipe for a perfect adult holiday. So, I am sure when I have kids one day, Halloween will come back with all its excitement and magic. But, right now, I am loving this kind of boring Halloween night.

Our Pumpkin Pizza : ) I know, I am so creative with onions.

All the candy that I bought for our trick or treaters. Well, we had one teenage mutant ninja turtle and a precious kitty cat. I guess that just means I will have to take one for the team and gain 40 pounds eat the candy.

The best Halloween movie. Unless your husband has never watched it and makes fun of it through the entire 2 hours. Pretty awesome.

I wish that I was as thoughtful as the people who sent us these Halloween cards. Love getting mail : )

Of course, I am a little biased, but these have to be the cutest little trick or treaters. But, why are so they so big? I can't handle it.

Happy Halloween to you all!!!

A Pumpkin fit for a bunch of Nuts...

So, I am not a big Halloween person. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of Halloween. I just don't go crazy with decorations, party planning, and dressing up. One think I do enjoy is a carved pumpkin on my porch.

A couple of days ago, we went to the pumpkin patch and bought a pumpkin. Tonight, we had a pumpkin carving party with our very fun neighbors. There were lots of chocolate chip cookies, beer, and pumpkins. Now, that is my kind of party.

Getting started on the carving, although he kinda looks like he is about to murder it.

So, Trey wanted to carve a squirrel. I am pretty sure we are the only people in history to carve a squirrel. Whatever. Oh, please ignore the circle in the back. Our pumpkin started to rot, so we had to plug it. : )

The finished product : )
Hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween : ) Eat lots of fun candy : )

I changed my name to Jennifer Lorenzo...

Apparently after our tour de Tennessee, I forgot how to blog. My bad.

The Lloyds haven't been too busy lately. We went to the beach a couple weeks ago, went to the pumpkin patch, and stood in line for 1 hour to early vote. I know that we lead exciting lives. Yes, we should be followed by the paparazzi because people are soooo jealous of us. Since we aren't being followed by cameras, here are some pretty sweet iphone pics, just for YOU. Enjoy.

I miss Tennessee a lot, but this view isn't too bad on a Saturday.

I don't know which is cuter? The big lumberjack or the cute pumpkin.
I think I will keep both.

So, we waited to vote today. Totally worth it.
If you haven't voted yet, go do it.
Not only do you get to have a voice, you get a really cool sticker.

My mom got an iphone. Now, I get to see these two whenever I want.
So pumped.

So, a couple of weeks ago, I ordered an Erin Condren planner, which I love.
They sent me a free gift.
You didn't know that my named changed to Jennifer Lorenzo.
Yeah, me either.

Peace out little pumpkin heads. Have a great Monday : )

T-E-Double N-E-Double S-Double E- TENNESSEE

Folks, it has been a long while. For real.

Let's just go ahead and say that it has been a busy September. We have had one wedding, one football game, and seventeen days in our favorite state with our favorite people. We were able to see family, friends, and UT football. All in all, it was a wonderful visit. My heart is full.

Our best friends got married Labor Day weekend. Seriously, most of my favorites in one place for 3 days. Best weekend ever.
When we lived in Clarksville, we had weekly dinners with these two. Sweet, sweet friends.

My favorite niece. Seriously love her like she was mine.

Is there a cuter kindergarten in the world? I think not. This little boy has a huge piece of my heart.

These two girls+Nonny+Italian food+frozen yogurt=my kind of night

Be still my heart. This little boy is such a joy. So good for my heart to see him and his sweet momma.

Trey and his sweet sisters. They adore him. So thankful for these precious girls.

I may be a little biased, but I think we have the prettiest house on campus.
Delta love. forever. and ever.

Some of my favorite boys cheering on my favorite team. GBO.

This place still gives me goosebumps. Vol for Life.

These two little VOLS learning the rules of being a true Volunteer.
GatorHatersforlife.

I also spent time with these two amazing people.
My grandmother turned 81 yesterday.
Happy Birthday Nannie!
I love you.

If you really knew me...

So, I have been seeing this little post on quite a few blogs, so here goes my edition of "If you really knew me..."

  • you would know that I would rather have a large sweet tea with lemon than an alcoholic drink any day. even a woodchuck.
  • you would know that I have never, ever dyed my hair. I definitely wanted highlights when I was in high school, but my mom said no. Somehow, my sister was able to go blonde. Me, not so much. How did that happen, Mom?
  • you would know that when I walk into a restaurant, I immediately scope out the seating area. If there isn't a lot of seating, I start to get anxious. Like really anxious.
  • you would know that I hate to be late. My friends in college would always make fun of me for it.
  • you would know that I love doing crossword puzzles. I totally get this from my dad.
  • you would know that the thought of childbirth make me go into full body sweats, plus a full blown panic attack. not.even.joking.
  • you would knot that I want to adopt one day. I used to say just domestically, but I would be open to anything.
  • you would know that although I do love teaching, I wish I had majored in Social Work in college. Or I had been a Child Life Specialist.
  • you would know that I don't care if it 100 degrees in my house, I will have a blanket on me while watching t.v. on my couch.
If you know any of this stuff, then you know me pretty well. Congrats. Your prize is in the mail. Peace out.

I want to be in the Fab Five

So, I have been glued to the t.v. watching the Olympics since last Friday. Not even kidding a little bit. I am not really sure why I have been so excited this year. I have not watched the Olympics so much since Atlanta 1996. Let's be honest. I only really watched the Magnificent Seven and Bela. Annnddd, I may or may not have used my parents' living room as a gym where I performed a floor exercise and balance beam routine on the hearth. Just my luck, my parents didn't have a vault or bars. Bummer.

Last Friday night, I convinced Trey to make a pizza and we watched the opening ceremonies ALL NIGHT LONG. I know that some people were not fans of this year opening ceremonies, but I for one, loved them.

Since I have literally been a bum and stuck on the couch. I have realized quite a few things about the Olympics. So, guess what? I am about to tell you all about them. I know you are excited.

  • I wish I had been a gymnast. Unfortunately, I have this huge fear of falling on my head. When I used to cheer, my mom would have to bribe encourage me a lot, just to get one little back handspring out of me. Annnnddd, most of the time, I didn't throw it. Sorry mom (and Ms. Teresa, my cheer coach). In all seriousness, how do those girls do it? No fear.
  • Loooooved that Gabby Douglass gave all the glory to God. Yes, all things are possible through Him. love it x100000.
  • On the topic of gymnasts, what is it with glitter and the Russians? Holy moly. They need to calm that down, pronto. Seriously reminded me of myself and sixth grade and my first school dance. I didn't even know you could buy that stuff anymore.Yikes.
  • Dear Russians, you just won a silver medal and a bronze medal in gymnastics. Please stop acting like you didn't win. You could at least crack a smile. Aly would love to take your place. Seriously makes me soooo mad.
  • I really want to be friends with Missy Franklin. The girl just seems down to earth and super positive. I am pretty sure we would be BFFs. Except that I could have totally been old enough to be her babysitter. Whatev.
  • I believe the Kayak slalom is the hardest event. Okay, not really, but that sport is no joke. They have to paddle upstream in rapids. What the mess?!?
  • Michael Phelps is pretty amazing. Most decorated Olympian. I am just going to leave it at that.
  • No matter what event, if USA wins and they play the national anthem, I get teary-eyed. I can't even imagine what the athlete is feeling. Well, actually I can because I have definitely pretended to win a gold medal. when I was 10. right after the magnificent seven won our their gold.
  • I am still mad at the silly Badminton teams who tried to lose. Seriously. You are in the OLYMPICS. Dumb move because you definitely got DQed.
So, in conclusion, do you think I am too old to train for 2016? Yeah, I didn't think so either. Go 'Merica!

Nighty-night, little friends!
